I am selling my CYMA SR25 Platinum , a fully upgraded DMR , but with an inconsistent performance issue that I no longer have the time and/or inclination to look into. I am going to switch to the sniper role myself and am therefore selling it for a good offer. For someone with more technical knowledge or an airsoft tech who can find the problem, this is a great opportunity to score a top replica!
Problem description:
- First game: The replica worked perfectly.
- Second game: Power suddenly decreased a lot, BBs came out of the barrel weakly.
- Adjusting the hop-up did not help :
- Wide open → weak shots.
- Something closed → sometimes two BBs came out at the same time.
- Examined in the field:
- Hop-up and barrel looked good.
- Airflow from the gearbox felt normal.
- Techs on the field suspected an issue with the gears and recommended replacement.
- Further testing at home:
- Got advice to try a 4500mAh 60C 7.4V LiPo → no improvement.
- Replica reopened, seemed optically fine. (To my inexperienced eye)
- Findings:
- In the skirmish the replica worked well at first, then poorly.
- At home he worked poorly at first, then well.
- Changed BB brand → suddenly it worked fine again.
- Tried original BBs again → now they worked fine too.
- Also tested with different batteries → no difference.

Important additional information:
- The problem comes and goes , possibly a combination of BB's, hop-up, or a hidden internal issue.
- Sometimes shoots reasonably well, sometimes not.
- For a tech with knowledge this might be a quick fix , but I don't have the desire/time to investigate this further.
A super nice replica with high-end upgrades, but with a little mystery to solve!
